"Flub on a Church Bell" Heard a flub on a church bell Trust in heaven or trust in hell Like the tail or the heads decree The monster that’s flipping me But I don’t mind He only weakens the weaker kind No, I don’t mind Staring into you darkened eyes Dreamt a man who’s his only friend Feedback loop chat with no end A message board is a messy shame Surf-awaken to a new name And you won’t mind When they weaken the weaker kind No you won’t mind Just avoid the serpent’s eyes I asked, “Can’t you help me? I’m as lost as a busy bee” He said, “son, just head south" Black bile drippin from his mouth But he didn’t mind He just was one of those zero kind In the land of the dead The rollin stone dont need to stay fed So just think twice If you’re planning a vacation or a vice Return to the coil The solid snake is worth more than its oil I see how you had legs I see how you had hands Still now, the clock will crawl
2.
"Not Your Time to Ride" And when red flowers bloom Do yours come too soon in June? Persistent snowy cloth Of Michigan winter soft and true Is it the Iliad? Is it your final epic fight Between pale horses Between dark seasons and pale light The angels aint ready my dear The spaceships aint sailin it’s clear The horses ain’t saddled my dear It’s not your time to ride

woods 02:56
Woods “Whose woods these are…” He quietly read Three or four times Before my bed He was a man Who gave his heart To those in need He gave his art And I won’t think twice to remember The words of Robert Frost He whispered close to my ear Did he know that I’d get lost? But find my way back home Long after he’d passed “The woods are lovely Dark and deep But I’ve got promises Promises to keep” And you kept all of those promises Just as long as you could But left with the spaceship sailing To find the final woods I thank you for the miles I’ve left to go You reminded me with your smile I’ve got a long way to go

Special Bar Bay Long dark blues I feel I have been used Bird black skyline has no clue Shrink myself into your shoes Now my sisters and brothers Are the city’s cast out lovers Sing me a song and a heartfelt flutter The day of tomorrow becomes our mother (Inst.) The only game we get to play Is the 3D landscape of today The maxed out, whacked out, special bar Bay How weird this world in its way How weird this world in its way How weird this world in its way

Babybugg pt. 2 May you always find a friend No matter the way the road bends I’ll be thinking of you May the storm clouds above your head Rumble a short time instead Of a monsoon in your lagoon Inst. If you’re feeling like a clown Right is left and up is down I hope you find the truth If it’s all such a laugh to them You’ll know who’s not your friend I hope you count on you Inst. Just keep me in the loop The text message hula-hoop Not quite as good as a hug So you’ll learn to rise above Fight off the foes of your love I’ll always miss you babybugg

The Haunted House I saw you just a dream ago You came to me afraid You told me where to find your bones Where to find your grave And how a lover took you under But never found the plot You whispered softly on the wind “When I rest, you’ll have all I’ve got” My Bible couldn’t shield my face Shield it from the bright blue light I saw at the end of the tunnels The tunnels of your empty eyes Your flesh it fell straight through the floor And your words they were like ice To lessen all those weary words My heart would not think twice So when I finally buried you In a proper plot of sleep I noticed the handprint on my sleeve Your touch that went so deep You said to place a finger bone In the collection plate the next day And so when your lover placed his tithe He wouldn’t get away Scrapin’, clawin’, it did no good He couldn’t remove the proof He’d cruelly choked out your young life And now he’d get his due Walkin' from the gallows when The price was finally paid I noticed again your handprint Never would it wash away The blue light of your empty eyes I still see The blue light of your empty eyes I still see

Dog in the fight Have you ever felt the pain When your fight just can’t sustain Cause it’s already gone And it’s already won But I wouldn’t trade it, son For any other one When you feel there’s nothing left Don’t consider it a theft Cause if the fight’s in the dog It’s the not the dog in the fight And don’t trade it, son For any other one
13.
Fame is a Shame I found you out And all this time Was wasted doubt Cause you come on Like someone new But now I find You stole the truth Right from behind The wall of those You said you loved But now it’s when Push comes to shove You stole their voice And stole their pain To make yourself A brand new name I think your fame It is a shame I think your name It is a shame I think your fame It is a shame I think your name It is a shame
14.
Stillness After the Quake Open up your eyes now Tell me what you see Is it always the same Like you meant it to be Catch a little glimpse now Of yourself in the mirror Do you have to fake What you want others to see Don’t you know I’m counting on you To make it through the night You’re stronger than that What would shorten your life Stay with us a little longer Cause the fever will break You’ll awaken to find Stillness after the quake

green light 02:56
Green Light I see how you’ve fallen Fallen for all Now you name-drop The home plate call The evil that spreads when Too many strike out The Mudville joy And colossus of clout I don’t know why You came home I don’t know why You came home If I could replay It over again I think would save it For another friend The ejections pick up This late in the game Signing the foul ball With another’s name I don’t know why You came home I don’t know why You came home Who gave you the signal? Who gave you the signal?

last minz 03:48
last minz Is it like Falling asleep But with more pain You could ever imagine Falling asleep The dreams that come Flooding through Wading so deep Or the waves that wane Above your head Slipping into the deep All you see Is where you could be So I’ll leave You to the rain Pounding you under Just prepare Yourself a place To hide from the thunder All you see Is where you could be The church you know Buried in snow

KVJ 03:19
KVJ “So it goes…” The one thing I know KV prayed the words Stuck up the middle bird All those tight ropes Make it hard to cope All those tight ropes Hope you swim or float The Midwest he knew The soul it grew When the art is at heart Not easily pulled apart All those tight ropes Make it hard to cope All those tight ropes Hope you swim or float

Bees in the Pantry Little seashell in the sand The left will wash the right hand Try your best to get it right The black crow swoops down in the black night Ooooh When they buried the southern singer They left a bell, a dead ringer Irish coffee, Irish cream Don’t ask the priest what it means Ooooh Playin’ dead, playin’ for keeps The skeleton man never weeps Nothin’ like the taste of bread The masses swarm over your head Ooooh

"Song from the Mansfield Reformatory (Starin’ at a Shoestring)" Starin’ at my shoestring Oh what a strange thing To think my wife and kids Would learn it’d serve my undoing I remember teachin’ my son To tie the laces good The bunny hides in the hole Out the other side beautiful and bold Lights out The time is right I guess All alone in this mess
Is this what I really want Or to thread some other way You can learn all kinds of things Starin’ at a shoestring Like the snake that started it all Like a used car salesman standing tall Lights out The time is right I guess All alone in this mess
Is this what I really want Or to see another day Place my head on a pillow Polyester and cotton I think I’ll dream tonight Think I’ll dream again tonight

Family Council Meeting They wouldn’t let me run So I staked out with my son The family council meets at 10 Now the age of 17 My child grew to know my dream We hatched a plan, armed — waited in the van Gave him a reassuring nod Crossed ourselves and prayed to God “May this crooked tree branch break at last” Hoods over our heads Like twin grim reapers approaching a bed The nest of vipers would soon be sussed When I kicked in the door And aimed my Kel-Tec PMR No look of surprise on anyone’s face Sharp pain in the back When I turned, before things got black My boy had the cold eyes of his name Eyes blurred, on my side When I started to smile wide My uncle leaned close and I whispered the words: “Freedom at last, You sons of bitches make me laugh I’d say, ‘See you in hell’ but you ain’t that good.”

about

For the month of July, I once again attempted (and this time, failed lol) at a song for every day of the month via Sadfam. That said, this little collection contains some of the best songs and music I’ve made in my small career thus far.
I hope you give it a little listen and enjoy.
Thanks
✌️
